The more simple answer is that it’s a play-on-words with my last name “Cubbage”. Broken down, it’s the Cubb-Age. But as someone who’s spent much of my life feeling like a “Cub”, I felt that when I started this new project, it was time to grow into something new/bigger, and lean into making music authentically and unapologetically, more in the way I first started writing.
